GPS is in network with several major IL health insurers including Blue Cross PPOs, United Healthcare, CIGNA & Aetna; however, it’s important to note that it will depend on the service to determine if it’s covered as well as if your specific clinician is participating in-network.

Services that can be covered by insurance include: Individual Therapy, Couples Counseling, Family Therapy, Collaborative Therapeutic Assessment, Neuropsychological & Psychological evaluations.

Services that are not covered by insurance include: Giftedness testing, Academic testing, & Educational Advocacy.

For client’s accessing their health insurance for services, GPS will verify eligibility prior to your first session. An estimate of member responsibility will also be sent via email. The benefits and estimated member responsibility provided are exclusively estimates; our office is limited to the information provided by your insurer. We advise calling your carrier's member number on your insurance card to verify coverage and benefits. 

For self pay clients, a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) will be sent to you through our Simple Practice client portal in advance of services. The GFE will provide an estimate of your cost for scheduled care. More information about GFEs can be found here.

Yes, if you are paying out of pocket but would like to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurer, a Superbill can be provided to you upon request. Growth Psychological Services does not submit to out-of-network insurers on your behalf. Superbills will only be able to be generated at the conclusion of services, once your invoice is paid in full.

For Therapy Services

We require 24-hour notice in the event of a cancellation. A late cancellation fee of $75.00 will be charged if a therapy appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours advanced notice. If a client does not attend their session and did not provide any notice a “no call/no show” fee of $150 will be assessed.

For Testing Services

We require 3-day notice in the event of a cancellation. A late cancellation or ”no show” fee of $500.00 will be charged if a testing appointment is cancelled with less than 3 days advanced notice or the client does not attend their testing appointment.
