Dr. Cerny is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) and neuropsychologist. He received his Master’s and Doctorate from Illinois Institute of Technology with a rehabilitation specialization. Dr. Cerny completed his doctoral internship at the Milwaukee VA and specialty 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Medicine.

Dr. Cerny has extensive experience conducting evaluations across much of the lifespan, from pre-adolescents through older adults. He has experience conducting evaluations related to ADHD, autism, and other developmental disorders, mood disorders, and serious mental illness. He also has extensive experience with aging and dementia, traumatic brain injury, stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, and medical illnesses. In addition to comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, Dr. Cerny also completes Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs) for neurocognitive and psychiatric disability and injury.

Dr. Cerny takes a collaborative and insight-oriented approach to completing evaluations. He connects with other providers and family members when possible to gather information and understand all aspects of a client’s life. Dr. Cerny is skilled at merging this information with testing data to help clients build an understanding of what leads to the problems in living they are experiencing and what interventions or supports will help address those challenges.
