Dr. Anna Benton is bilingual and able to offer services in English and Russian.

Dr. Anna is a Licensed School Psychologist and post-doctoral fellow at Growth Psychological Services. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota and University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She completed her clinical and school-based training at a variety of sites, including hospitals, community mental health centers, and public schools. She has since worked in urban and suburban high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools in the Midwest region prior to joining Growth Psychological Services in 2021.

Anna provides psychological, neuropsychological, and psycho-educational evaluations for kids, teens, and adults. She specializes in helping clients and families explore and understand neurodiversity, including autistic and ADHD traits and learning differences. Anna has extensive experience working with clients hoping to explore questions around emotional functioning, personality styles, social skills and interpersonal functioning, and executive functioning skills. Anna takes a comprehensive and integrated approach in testing to help shed light on the ways in which thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and external systems interact with and influence one another in unique ways within a client’s life. Throughout the evaluation process, Anna seeks to delineate a client’s personal strengths and weaknesses and translate these findings into meaningful recommendations to help support the client.

As a licensed school psychologist, Anna also has extensive experience navigating school systems, and offers consultation to families seeking support in navigating these systems, as well as an ability to attend school meetings and advocate for your student’s needs. She brings a wealth of knowledge in how to navigate the process of requesting and advocating for school-based accommodations, including Individualized Education Plans and Section 504 Plans. She has expertise in identifying various services, goals, and accommodations that may support the client in educational settings.
